In February 1999, ultrasonography revealed a liver tumor at a
medical examination and the patient immediately visited the National Cancer Center.
As a result of liver biopsy, the patient was diagnosed with carcinoid. In March, he
was admitted to Hokkaido University Hospital. Examination confirmed a 5-cm tumor and
multiple 1-2 cm tumors. The patient was immediately treated with liver embolotherapy.
As a result, the 5-cm tumor was excised but other smaller tumors were not. He was
told he had only half a year to live if the disease was left untreated. The disease
did not respond to treatment with anticancer drugs and the patient was recommended
liver transplantation as the last resort. Reexamination was performed in May to
identify the primary lesion and revealed a 2-cm suspected primary tumor in the
rectum. The patient underwent an operation to excise the rectal tumor. At the time,
metastases in other organs than the liver were confirmed so liver transplantation was
judged inapplicable. In July, another operation was performed on metastatic lesions
but the patient was subsequently judged untreatable. He left the hospital in August
and visited this hospital seeking dietary treatment. He was put on a semi-fasting
therapy, which is adopted at this hospital as a basic treatment for cancer, to
improve intestinal conditions and treated with a special diet. He was given
immunopotentiators such as MGN-3 4 g daily, dietary fiber foods and plant enzymatic
foods and also underwent treatment with far infrared radiation.
Changes caused by ingestion of MGN-3
As indicated by CT and MRI, the liver cancer did not increase in
size over the period from August 1999 to February 2000 but has been shrinking. He has
been feeling well in his daily and professional life.
Evaluation of MGN-3
The patient had been judged untreatable because of extensive
metastases in organs other than the liver and rectum. Half a year of treatment with a
strict diet and an immunopotentiator MGN-3 seems to have helped suppress cancer
growth and even reverse it.

In 1992, the patient was diagnosed with malignant tumor and had
her left breast resected. Five years later, she underwent reoperation because
another cancer lesion was detected in the suture on the left breast. After that,
she was treated with chemotherapy with anti-cancer drugs. After 4 months of
hospitalization, the symptoms did not improve and the WBC (white blood cell)
count continued to drop. In August 1999, a new cancer lesion appeared in the
right breast. She underwent an operation and radiotherapy. After radiotherapy,
she treated with chemotherapy with anti-cancer drugs until January 2000, when
treatment with anti-cancer drugs was discontinued because the WBC count decreased
to 600. On January 15, 2000, the patient visited this hospital. She still had
cancer. She was put on a special diet that started with semi-fasting and given
MGN-3 4 g daily and enzymatic foods to enhance immunity.
Changes caused by ingestion of MGN-3
A total of 9 tests including CT and ultrasonography were
performed in April and confirmed the disappearance of all lesions. Her complexion
and general condition (fatigue-proneness, stiff in the neck, back pain and pain
in the ridge) improved. She is feeling well as of April 15.
Evaluation of MGN-3
The WBC count was too low to perform chemotherapy after 7 years
of recurrence and treatment since the initial discovery of malignant tumor.
Malignancies disappeared after 3 months of treatment at this hospital. A special
diet of this hospital and treatment with an immunopotentiator MGN-3 seem to have
improved symptoms.

The patient was diagnosed with chronic hepatitis C at the
age of 7. She had received no special treatment and avoided excess exercise.
She had waited for sero-conversion to occur as a result of self-healing but
experienced loss of appetite and fatigue-proneness and visited this pharmacy
for consultation. She took MGN-3 1 g daily and a mixed tea with several
herbs. The serum transaminase activity decreased in a short period and is now
within normal limits.
Changes caused by ingestion of MGN-3
A weak flare was observed 1 day after start of ingestion
but disappeared after 2 days. There was an increase in appetite and
action.
Evaluation of MGN-3
Because the patient had chronic type hepatitis C and was at
the age when immunopotency was developing, no special treatment was performed
with the hope that she would gain sero-conversion ability as she grew. But
she did not improve. Ingestion of MGN-3 improved immunopotency and
hepatitis-associated symptoms.

The patient has severe atopic symptoms including
reddened swollen face and itching and had difficulty sleeping. After

The patient developed symptoms of atopic dermatitis
at the age of 3. She visited the dermatologic department and
underwent steroid therapy. The patient developed weeping eczema and

symptoms began to improve after 1 week and almost disappeared after 1
month.

The patient developed asthma at the age of
5 and asthma symptoms always accompanied the occurrence of a
cold. He always shows symptoms of rhinitis and is now taking
Theo-Dur and Azeptin. He began taking MGN-3 3 g daily and
mixed tea with several herbs at the beginning of November
1999. He caught cold in early December and January without
attacks of asthma. He has caught cold less frequently since
then and developed no symptoms of asthma these 15
months.

His appetite and complexion improved 7 days
after start of ingestion of MGN-3. Rhinitis also improved and
sores under his nose disappeared.
Evaluation of MGN-3
He was allergic and predisposed to
inflammations. His constitution may have improved as a result
of suppressed production of inflammatory cytokines by the
immunomodulator MGN-3.

She had too potent granulocytes and too

In the middle of July, 1997, the
patient noticed an abnormality in the throat. In
October, he even had difficulty swallowing food and
visited N Hospital for examination. He was diagnosed
with oropharynx cancer and told that he had only 1
year to live unless he was operated on. He was also
told that he would lose speech ability because part
of the vocal cord and tongue had to be resected in
the operation. Preoperative chemotherapy was tried
upon his strong request. Besides chemotherapeutics,
he took MGN-3 6 g daily. In a rotation of 1 week of
chemotherapy and 3 recovery weeks, 2 courses of
chemotherapy were performed. Although there were some
adverse effects such as reduced appetite and hair
loss, recovery of the white blood cell count was
remarkable and the tumor shrank. As a result, N
Hospital changed treatment regimen and decided to
switch from surgery to radiotherapy. The patient was
irradiated for 10 days and after 10 days, for an
additional 7 days. During the course, the patient
received MGN-3 6 g daily. As a result of treatment
with radiotherapy, the tumor almost disappeared and
no abnormality was observed on MRI or CT.

MGN-3
Adverse effects on the patient of
treatment with anticancer drugs and radiotherapy were
clearly milder compared with other patients in the
same room. Treatment was painful but was narrowly
tolerated.
Evaluation of MGN-3
The immunopotentiator MGN-3 reduced
damage to the body caused by anticancer drugs and
radiotherapy and increased effectiveness.
Consequently, he narrowly avoided surgery and speech
loss.

In June 1997, he was positive
in the occult blood reaction test of the stool in
a health checkup. A complete medical workup
revealed colon cancer. He refused the surgical
operation his attending physician recommended and
visited this hospital. He underwent treatment of
a restricted diet, acupuncture and qigong and was
given MGN-3 3 g daily. There was no increase in
tumor marker points in monthly examinations for
10 months. Endoscopy showed a remarkably
decreased tumor and no metastasis.

About 10 months after start of
ingestion of MGN-3, the body weight stopped
decreasing and complexion and nutritional
conditions improved.
Evaluation of
MGN-3
The patient had considerably
advanced colon cancer and was recommended
immediate surgery. He chose a treatment that
would improve self-healing potential in
consideration of QOL. The treatment resulted in
the tumor shrinking and made excision using an
endoscope possible. No metastasis was observed.
The immunopotentiating potential of MGN-3 may
have been effective. The patient is now taking
MGN-3 1 g daily to prevent recurrence.

In May 1996, the patient
felt a lump in her left breast and visited a
nearby obstetrics and gynecology hospital for
examination. She was diagnosed with breast
cancer as a result of histopathological
study. She rejected the recommended immediate
surgery. She looked for hospitals that would
perform breast conservation therapy but in
vain. On October 5, she visited this
hospital. A close examination led to the
judgment that a surgical procedure was best.
However, the patient was treated with Chinese
medicine and a restricted diet upon her
strong request. She was given MGN-3 4 g daily
to enhance immunopotency. Treatment continued
and tumor markers were checked monthly. Tumor
marker points began to decrease in January
1997 and the tumor disappeared on palpation
in October. Histopathological study revealed
no abnormal cells.

About 2 months after start
of treatment with MGN-3, she felt the lump in
the breast begin softening and the sense of
incongruity fade.
Evaluation of
MGN-3
Her cancer was so advanced
that metastasis was naturally suspected but
she was put on an immunopotentiating therapy
mainly consisting of MGN-3 in accordance with
her strong request. Tumor marker points began
to decrease when her immunopotency seemed to
have improved and then the tumor disappeared
after 1 year. We believe that activation of
NK cells by MGN-3 led to satisfactory
results.

In April 1992, the
patient developed severe fatigue and loss
of strength in her extremities. An
examination revealed C type virus
hepatitis. Blood transfusion performed 30
years before at an obstetrics/gynecology
operation was suspected as the cause but
the true cause has not been identified.
Her fatigue improved as a result of rest
for 1 month. In February 1996, she was
operated on for liver tumor. The
operation itself was successful but she
remained at the hospital for 3 months
because of delayed recovery of physical
strength. Her liver function was
especially damaged. Although the GOT, GPT
and ?-GPT points remained at about 110,
140 and 140, respectively, she left the
hospital. She rested at home and waited
for physical strength to recover but she
felt dizzy and lost 6 kg due to the lack
of appetite. She began taking MGN-3 1 g
after each meal daily. After 6 months,
her appetite and physical strength
restored to the state before surgery and
the GOT, GPT and ?-GPT levels were within
the normal limits.

About 1 month after
start of treatment with MGN-3, she began
to feel a sense of exhaustion disappear
and she felt well upon awaking in the
mornings. After 3 months, her appetite
began to improve and she stopped losing
weight.
Evaluation of

The immunopotentiating
action and liver-protecting action of
MGN-3 may have improved symptoms of
chronic hepatitis C.

In January 1997,
the patient began feeling pain in the
wrist and ankle. The pain in the left
wrist and ankle, in particular, was
so strong as to disturb sleep. The
pain was refractory to treatment with
hot pack and electrothermotherapy and
even became stronger. A nearby
physician suspected rheumatism and he
visited a national hospital for a
complete medical checkup. He was
diagnosed with early-stage
rheumatism. He did not respond to 2
months of medication only to lose
physical strength due to adverse
effects of medication including
insomnia and anorexia. At this time
point, he began taking MGN-3 2 g
daily. Three months after, the pain
in the joints of extremities began to
fade and after 6 months, disappeared.
He is now taking MGN-3 1 g
daily.

In the middle
of November, 1996, the patient
presented with abnormal fatigue
at a nearby hospital. He had a
blood sugar level of 300 mg/dl
and a glycohemoglobin (HbA1c)
level of 9.8 and was diagnosed
with diabetes. He also had
complications of the disease. He
was aware that he had been eating
too much sweet food since the
summer but he attributed it to
his being tired. For the
following month, he was put on a
restricted diet and therapeutic
exercise that consisted of 1 hour
of fast walking but these
therapies had no effect. Because
he was told that he had no choice
but undergo treatment with
insulin, he visited K Hospital
for other treatments. K Hospital
recommended taking MGN-3 3 g
daily in addition to conventional
treatment with a restricted diet
and exercise. One month after
start of treatment with MGN-3,
the blood sugar level decreased
to 98 mg/dl and the
glycohemoglobin level to 7.2. He
is now taking MGN-3 1g
daily.

The patient
received blood transfusion in
1970 and contracted
hepatitis. She had been
living a miserable life
because of fatigue, malaise
and chronic insomnia. She
began to undergo treatment at
S Hospital where she was
treated for a cold in October
1997 and was recommended to
take MGN-3 3 g daily (1 g
after each meal). Endoscopy
performed after 6 days
revealed 2 suspected cancer
lesions in the stomach.
Reexamination for surgery
performed after 2 weeks
revealed the disappearance of
these 2 lesions. In late
November, the GOT and GPT
levels significantly
decreased to 55 and 46,
respectively, compared to the
levels before start of MGN-3
therapy. Her insomnia was
relieved. In 1998, her live
function was normal and she
recovered physical
strength.
